Which documents should accompany the quotation?
Request a bottle drawing, itemized specification and clear commercial scope. The drawing should identify capacity, dimensions, target weight and neck finish. The quotation should state the selected product series, quantity, decoration, closure, tooling charges where applicable, packing, currency and named trade term.
Ask for applicable quality or testing documents for the selected product and destination requirements. Check their scope; a general company certificate should not be assumed to prove every performance characteristic of your bottle.
How do I compare FOB and delivered-price offers?
Compare the same scope and named locations. Establish which costs are included in each offer and obtain the freight and receiving costs relevant to your shipment. A bottle-only factory price cannot be compared directly with a complete delivered bottle-and-closure set.
